Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has released the official Centralized Employment Notice (CEN No. 05/2025) for the recruitment of Junior Engineer (JE), Depot Material Superintendent (DMS) and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA) posts. The total number of post 2569 vacancies has been announced. Eligible candidates can apply online from 31 October 2025 to 30 November 2025.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess the Degree or Diploma in relevant field as on 30.11.2025.

• Junior Engineer (JE): Diploma/Degree in engineering (relevant discipline).
• Depot Material Superintendent (DMS): Diploma/Degree in Engineering from any discipline.
• Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant (CMA): Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Physics & Chemistry.

Age Limit (as on 01.01.2026)

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 33 years

Age Relaxation

• OBC (NCL) – 3 years
• SC / ST – 5 years
• PwBD (UR/EWS) – 10 years
• PwBD (OBC) – 13 years
• PwBD (SC/ST) – 15 years
• Ex-Servicemen – As per rules

Application Fee

• Fee payment is accepted online only through debit/credit card, internet banking or UPI.

Selection Procedure

The selection process will include the following stages:

1. Computer Based Test (CBT).

2. Document Verification (DV).

3. Medical Examination.

Note:- Negative marking of 1/3 mark will apply for each wrong answer in CBT.

Exam Pattern

• Syllabus details are provided in Annexure VII (A–E) of the notification.

Medical Standards

Candidates must meet the required medical standards (A-3/B-1/C-1) depending on the post, including tests for vision, colour perception, and fitness as per the Indian Railway Medical Manual.
