The UGC NET Test will be conducted by the National Testing Agency known as NTA. NTA is an Independent, Autonomous and self sustained body, established by the Govt of India. Under The Societies Registration Act 1860. The NTA has been established to conduct the transparent, efficient examination on the international standard in India.

The Mode of Examination of UGC NET DECEMBER 2025 is a Computer Based Test that is known as CBT. The Candidates will have to conduct two papers. The First paper is common for all candidates who appear for the UGC NET exam. The Second Paper is related to the selected subject of the candidate. The Second Paper syllabus is from the subject of post graduation, in which the candidate appeared.

Both the Papers will be conducted on the computer. The Candidate first will have to conduct first common paper and then second as per subject. The Paper will be conducted without any break between the both exams.

The Candidate can re-attempt the particular question, if he/she wants to remark. After the completion of the decided time duration of the exam, the candidate will not be able to attempt the question. The Computer System will be disabled to attempt the question.

The UGC NET Exam will consist of two papers. Both the papers will be objective type and multiple-choice answer. The Candidate will have to choose the right answer or multiple choice answer as per the nature of the question.

The First Paper is common for all the candidates which consist of 50 questions. Each question equals two marks. The total marks of the first paper is 100. The second paper consists of 100 questions. Each question equals two marks. The total marks of the second paper is 200.

The Candidate will be given 180 Minutes (3 Hours) to conduct the both examinations.
